Definitely one of the most optimistic sellers and most overpriced coins on ebay - this 50p coin has a mintage figure of 3,400,000 and I've had at least four of them in change!

Rest in Peace

It's especially interesting since the lot is getting an average of 9 hits an hour.

Everybody wants to know about the big buck coin of such recent vintage.

I've just put an identical coin on ebay at face value plus postage, to see if I get any takers!

Barely cooked.

As a postscript to the GB 2011 World Wildlife Fund 50p that someone was offering on ebay with a starting price of £1000, mine sold today for £5.50! Not enough to pay for my next Caribbean cruise but a lot more that I expected!

Meanwhile, how about an 1856 Nova Scotia halfpenny?

If this really is a VG 2016 Battle of Hastings 50p, it would be a true lowball. Unfortunately the photo is too out-of-focus to tell!
