I've done a lot of leatherwork in the past and that shading is just like a common leather dye. A lot of back-pocket sweat could do exactly that. I've ended up with a leather-stained arse with a new wallet and a day working in the hayfield. It's odd that it doesn't cover the note evenly, maybe some ink areas more susceptible to staining? I have a series 1995 $2 note that has the identical "peach" color (on both sides) as the pictured $1 and $10 note. It's in CU condition. Nary a fold/crease on it. I have wondered myself if it is a color error. I am tickled to see two other notes with identical coloring. Report this Post to the Staff
