I think your chances of finding silver in a roll from 75 or 76 may be less than today, actually. Back then most people were in tune to pulling silver and my thought is silver being pulled today is from the masses of people who don't even know what silver coins are and dumping it back into circulation. Open it up!

People every day are finding things of value. They don't do it by saying should I or shouldn't I. Look at those people that found that can of Gold Coins. You could find a coin in there worth millions. Or you could find a bunch of slugs. Might find a treasure map used to make that roll. Then too, might contain viruses of a rare disease. Might be a small bomb or a will from a rich person giving you all his money. OPEN IT. BUT to play safe, have your wife open it.

It looks like the roll was opened before. So open it again and see what you find. I doubt that you would get any premium on ebay for it (not to mention shipping and fees).

Those look like they may be UNC. I would give them a good acetone bath and see what happens.

Bicentennial s have never been my favorite. Even uc are they worth anything? They seem pretty common. Also how long do you soak them if I'm were to give them the acetone treatment?

A small premium for UNCs. It looks like about $20 for the roll on ebay. That's a lot more than I thought it would be.

Do a few of them for 12 hours or so and see if they clean up at all. I love the design, so I would personally make the effort to see if they were salvageable. But thats just me.

From the photos, I suspect none of them would pass for uncirculated. I so, they're worth face value.
