The 7070 refers to Dansco US Type major coin set from 1800. The collector is able to display a coin from each series in this album. Here is a list of the coins that the album represent:

  • Half Cents - Draped Bust, Classic Head, Coronet

  • Large Cents - Draped Bust, Classic Head, Coronet, Coronet w/braided hair

  • Small Cents - Flying eagle, Indian head (3), Lincoln vdb, wheat, steel, memorial, 2c piece 3c piece silver and nickel

  • Half Dimes - Capped Bust, Liberty Seated (3)

  • Nickels - Shield (2) Liberty (2) Buffalo(2), Jefferson, Jefferson Silver

  • Dimes - Capped Bust, Liberty (4), Mercury, Roosevelt (2)

  • 20c Piece - Liberty, Capped

  • Quarters - Liberty Seated (3), Liberty Head, Liberty Standing (2), Washington (2)

  • Half Dollars - Capped Bust (2), Liberty Seated (3), Liberty Head, Liberty Walking, Franklin, Kennedy (2)

  • Commemorative Half Dollars - Blanks (4) - Liberty Seated (2), Trade, Morgan, Peace, Eisenhower

  • Bicentennial - Quarter, Half, Dollar

  • Modern US coinage - SBA, SAC, Statehood Quarter, Commemorative $1, Silver American Eagle

Background: Dansco publishes a coin collecting Album for US Type coins. It starts with the early Half Cents and progresses through US numismatic history, and denominations, to modern day.

Dansco (randomly) chose to list this US Type Album as Dansco Album 7070.

Many of us US coin collectors strive VERY hard to perfect our 7070 specimens and are (like Johnny54321!) very proud of how they look.
