I'm 54 also but I got a slight jump on you as I started when I was 8.

My mother used to drive my older brother and I to the St Lawrence market (in Toronto) back in the 1960's for the coin show.

EF 45 is what it would have on it in my collection. I tend towards the Charlton grading system where AU means it's been in a pocket or two, but is almost (about) uncirculated.

I am looking for a PCGS dealer and just for kicks I would like to send it to them just to see what they say....

If you don't understand exactly how PCGS grades, then this exercise would be pointless, because you will not be happy with the grade. As was aforementioned, ICCS likes clean fields and grades accordingly - PCGS likes clean devices and is more forgiving in the fields. Eye appeal also matters...

I sometimes take a bit of criticism, because when it comes to my personal collection, I have my coins in PCGS holders. But, after handling thousands of coins, some of them of the highest grades, from all grading companies - I just have lost faith in Canadian grading companies. PCGS might be harsh in some decimals, and liberal in others, but with me, they have been consistent. For modern coins that I cherry pick from mint rolls or bags to sell, yes I do use ICCS, because that is what the market wants.

Art, I can add any coin you want graded to one of my PCGS batches - you have my email.
