As was aforementioned, ICCS likes clean fields and grades accordingly - PCGS likes clean devices and is more forgiving in the fields. Eye appeal also matters... I sometimes take a bit of criticism, because when it comes to my personal collection, I have my coins in PCGS holders. But, after handling thousands of coins, some of them of the highest grades, from all grading companies - I just have lost faith in Canadian grading companies. PCGS might be harsh in some decimals, and liberal in others, but with me, they have been consistent. For modern coins that I cherry pick from mint rolls or bags to sell, yes I do use ICCS, because that is what the market wants.
