I also use a pair of Hastings triplets by B&L.

A 10x and 14 x. They are a little $$ but WELL Worth it!

I was going to get a 20x as well until I found out that the area you look through is about the size of a pencil eraser.

I use a 5X for scanning at a show but also have a 30X for examining
interesting areas. The choice is a matter of personal taste, comfort
and ease of use.

The Bausch & Lomb 5X is commonly used by dealers.

I got a free App for my Android phone "Your Magnifier" - there were several other free Apps for this purpose.
It permits zoom in & out; and you can turn the light on or off; and take a photo through it.
I'm hoping that this will be useful when I see something interesting when I'm out.
These new phones just keep on amazing me !

Actually the best ones that dealers use are made by Eschenbach Optic - made in Germany. They are far and away the best. But they aren't cheap. But like everything else, you get what you pay for. Here's a link to them at SAFE who sells them:

Good luck!

I use a Carson 5x pocket magnifier with LED and a Bausch & Lomb 10X Hastings. Gets the job done for me and it didn't break the bank. About $8 for the pocket mag and $31 for the loupe from Amazon.
