Well, nickels are becoming harder and harder to find pure. The government is taking them out of circulation quickly, and they are needed to make military supplies and many household electronics, so it makes it very useful. The price has stayed flat after experiencing a brief spike in 2008-2010, and quickly climbed back down to where it was before, the same for the past 50 years. Just like how silver was always around $4/oz and all of a sudden the hunt bros drove it up to $50 and it came crashing down again. Judging by the posts on this topic, the amount of nickels found now is the amount of silver found in 1969 and the early 70's. I say the time to act and hoard pure nickels is next.
