I've never purchased a coin off ebay. Only once by an on line dealer. Very Seldom at a coin store. Mostly for more expensive coins at a coin show. I do ask at Banks but they are getting irritated with people that get rolls, open them and then just return them. Over many years I've got my least amount of coins from a bank. Biggest finds are from garage/yard/estate sales. I keep telling people that you have to ask. At those places coins are not put out on tables. Same with guns, knives, swords but mostly no coins are placed out in public. I've found you have to ASK. Regardless of what they have out on tables you have to ASK. Another great place I've found is flea markets. One of my favorite places since most sellers don't know what they have when it comes to coins. And too, remember to ask all your relatives, friends and neighbors.
