I believe the 1st picture below is the one with the higher value....there is one selling for $150 on ebay. The other is the common type which sells around $30.

That was $100 well spent, Dollarman.

In 1887 there was a shield reverse shilling and a Normal Reverse. The normal reverse says one shilling and the date.

If you go to the link I sent you will see what that gothic florin should look like. One of the worlds most beautifull coins for my money. you can look up the price just remember if you think VF price it as F. Multiply by the exchange rate 1.6 or there about.

That will give you a high end retail price IF there is a strong market for Enlish in your area.

In my area unless a coin is a stunner the smaller silver goes for a little above melt. The half crowns and florins. especially the gothic florin will have a bit of a premium.
