From the Business point of view - very good strategy.
Same as "Black Friday deals":
There are "deals" added just pre- sale event
deals added during event
deals on "Cyber Monday"
deals continue as "Black Friday week"
This in general, what I see here in Canada for recent years.
Coins wise, btw, the CA still has:

it is more about logistics, could you imagine putting thousands of coins on sale, then the next day having to pack them all up for shipment, this way it is spread out over 12 days..

So yingyang, does the "first" day of the Colonial Acres sale start on December 25th, and the "5th" day on Deceber 29th, or does Canada use different days for "The 12 Days of Christmas"?
I may be stupid (my last wife called me that....a lot) but I really don't know when this sale starts. I'm interested in a few items but I have to buy them on the right day for the deal offers, right?
Oops; never mind. I just noticed the sale was already on, so looks like I missed out. commems made a good point though, the shipping might be higher than the deals.
