These 'Madonna and Child' thalers, like the 1767 specimen posted by pepactonius, are *very* difficult to find without the obvious 'adjusting marks' which look like varying degrees of PMD but are not. It took me a long time to find a relatively high grade, affordable example without extreme scratching distorting the iconic imagery. This was a fairly long running series; it's likely others will show up here.

That thaler is very very nice. Too bad bout the scratches though.

Many silver coins are 'scratched' to steel some silver of them.
