When platinum goes below gold as it has lately, it is usually a good thing for all the PMs as they tend to rally off this anomaly.

Good humor Silverworld--I also agree with Libertad and love the dimes like the Roosies--very cheap now--I might also add that Canadian 80% coins are also good value. Their bluenose dimes are beautiful in BU--most look proof like.

Well as I said last Sunday this Friday was going to be the worst for Silver and it has.

Now we see a big drop this Friday. The Dollar has also been a bummer for Silver to. This big lift in the Dollar has not been good for the whole market what a back fire.

We will have to see if there is going to be a rally for PM's for next week starting with the Reports for next week. I will have the Reports that will effect PM's next week this Sunday. Buyers market for Silver.

Thanks Silverworld--certainly not a great day, but the monkey hammers for PMs usually come out on unenjoyment (unemployment?) day.

I did manage to get this today.

@Gothic,who are the 4 Profiles of the people on the coin?

I think gold is doomed for lower prices, but with that said anyone that wants to Stack Gold/Collect Gold in the long run will see big returns in the future.

Collecting or buying Gold Coins is something I would do if I was not so cheap.

Silver has been good to me all my life. I think what folks need to understand Silver is a ruff start depending on when you start to stack it/hoard it but it does and will again pay off till then stack it up.

4 profiles<< Those are the 4 profiles of Queen Victoria that appeared on UK crowns during her reign.

The Canadian mint did these coins in gold and silver back in the mid-1970's. they also did a tribute to all the sovereign queens of England around the same time.

The above were minted for the Cayman Islands.

Most gold coins I have are bullion US eagles, old US Postal gold medallions (1980-1984) that preceded the eagles, or various slabbed foreign coins--no errors I'm aware of.

Gothic, that is a stunning coin, with the 4 queen Victoria busts, it's nicely detailed. I will look on ebay for it's silver counterparts. I think there's 2-3 coins done in that style. I'm a history buff and really like the veiled Queen Victoria portrait. Those are nice big coins too. A very nice score congrats!

Thanks PC--I'm a Vicki fan and find the RCM minted T&C coin gives you the most bang for the buck, especially in the silver version, for acquiring the full series of UK obverses for those years. The RCM did a similar E II coin in the 1990's that showed the 4 versions used on Canadian coinage of the current monarch. Can't find a link for that one right off hand. It was a gold coin, no silver version I am aware of.

If you like the Gothic look the cheapest way to buy it is the Hong Kong penny. I do like all of the Vicki coins including the veiled one. I was a bit saddened when the current queen was left unveiled on the 5th obverse style of the current E II series that was recently announced :).

The E-II multi-effigy coins show up here--relatively rare and expensive:

Just for the record if anyone cared :).

As for PMs, the central bankers of the world seem to be bent on doubling down on insanity of debt based money creation (that has already lead to 2 burst bubbles in this century) and for now I suppose we can chose to do nothing or deal with the frustration of seeing our favorites coins and other investments languish or decline until sanity breaks out in the world.

I see more Fiat being Print/Cut/Shuffle/Stack and Destroy, rinse, repeat and deceive.

Sanity is choosing. Insanity is blind following. My Silver,My funds.

Notes/Fiat = Hokus Pokus

Funny how the Dollar went up and up in last few days then Crash over 250 points down in the Dow. Back Fire. Lets hope this will be the last 10/15 years of the over printing of Fiat, lets hope so.
