I am enjoying the coin this weekend, but sadly it must go to the SDB very, very soon. You will find one. It just takes time, that is for sure. Thank you to all for the complements!! Congratulations to the owner, it looks like a wonderful coin. Must talk to my wife! And of course, all of the other capped bust coins shown in this thread are all very special coins, as well. GERMANICVS Pillar of the Community Germany 1853 Posts	Posted 06/09/2015 10:34 am Since the CB Thread lives, I will post some of my capped bust dimes (together with copper an colonials my biggest joy in US coin collecting). Here 1809, the first year of the CBD issue. Only one die variety is known for the year, JR-1. As a date, the year 1809 is actually the second scarcest in the CBD series after the dimes of 1822. Here are 2 of my examples. Not problem free or in top grade but you can't be too choosy when the total extant population is estimated at 275 to 315 examples. Report this Post to the Staff
