Thx, Moe. Did you think this thread would last this long? I would love to see it surpass the Barber thread. Bust coins rule!

Just curious, Moe...how many Overtons do you have now? You have been adding at quite a clip.

There is no quit in this thread. This one is the next Barber thread. It keeps going and going.

Quote: Moe...how many Overtons do you have now? I'll check my Excel Spreadsheet and let ya know! Edited: 147 different varieties. (There are some like my 1818s where I have an O-104a and an O-104b. I counted those as 2 different varieties, where they actually are the same Overton).

Soon to be 162, counting draped bust halves and RE halves. Each one is a differing Overton or GR (Graham-Reiver) on the RE's. I figured you and I were real close on the counts. Hey Jbuck, Bust half nuts never give up...450 or BUST...baby.

Quote: I count them, Moe...along with Capped Bust RE halves! I like your thinking! (I counted my 1837-1839 CBHs as Overtons, but you are correct, Sir. They are Reivers!)

I seem to have a problem near me, where the only Busties I can find are when the local coin show rolls around (twice a year). Then I can only pick up 2-3. At that rate (4-6/year) I'll be 100 years old till I get to that level!

Part of the problem is Moe and I keep buying them all. Just kidding, of course! But I have noticed it is getting much harder to find nice ones at shows, Aces. They are a popular, yet still a somewhat affordable coin...for now. Keep plugging away at it, Aces. You are doing well from what I've seen so far. For some, one is enough, jbuck..until the "fever" bites. That one coin is dangerous, remember that. It started with one for me, too.
