I'm collecting Morgans and a friend who got me started in coin collecting pointed out what a great deal Barber halves are. They're silver, cost less, and it is sometimes hard to find them with full rims. When I have money left, but not enough to get a Morgan, I'll try and get some halves as long as they have full rims.

Also, one of my coin stores has a half price box. If your goal is investment only, you could always find some good deals there.

Yes, but now is a better time to be selling an accumulation than buying IMHO. I stick with the bullion coins minted for circulation, but buy what you LIKE. I have dumped Canadian dollars, cc Morgans, and low grade common US gold and silver; keeping the coins I most enjoy owning. You can call them bullion if you want, but I like my Peace dollars and early walkers.
