this is true.

But in the 2014 we had Chicago ANA Privy SML, mintage 7500
No need to do deep search, in order to guess, that possible to get it below issue.

If the privy mark of 2015 will be same as for 2014 - imo, no big deal its 5000 mintage.

Added:
almost forgot :
2014 WMF Berlin privy SML (7500) - issue and below
2014 Non Privy Enhanced Edition Replica SML (20.000) - half an issue price

The only difference between the privy coins is the mintage. This year they dropped it to 5000 coins. Last years WMF coin did horribly on the secondary market. Will 5000 make it appreciate in value? I doubt it.

You right, MoneyPenney

The coin itself (5K mintage SML) has a potential.
But here also enters the factor of other coins minted this year, and it's amount increased, means each and every coin has less chance to be appreciated.

I think, this one will just hold the value
and personally, not planning to get it.

Disney Silver Coin - Scrooge McDuck

Thanks, Silveroid, for the heads up on McDuck! I was hoping he'd appear on a coin. Makes sense, since he's such a gold bug.

Since the mintage is 10K I should wait until the price drops, but I'm tempted to get it now.

This is good idea.

Btw, The Coin Shoppe has in stock:
Scrooge McDuck
Star Trek: The Original Series Spock

Both also came as Perth Mint new release.
While the first coin surely will wait (even the Steamboat Willie still available), the Star Trek coin might be popular (only might be, since I do not see it being grabbed by the collectors or Spock fans).

Some RCM bullion release:

2015 1/2oz Calgary Stampede Silver Coin

to get at Colonial Acres only 13 in stock, CAD 17.95

https://www.colonialacres.com/produ...-coin-wbs-26

Not bad design, but I decided to select from 1.5oz, 1oz, 3/4oz RCM bullion and do not touch the 1/2oz

Thanks for the welcome Silveroid!

Will probably hold off on Scrooge for now, but will buy Spock today.

Mintage is too high on the duck coins, but the 2015 Spock coins should do ok at 5000 mintage, maybe even increase in value. "Maybe"

Remember that Leonard Nimoy died in 2015.

That's why, I think, the Perth Mint "broke" the template and issued "Spock" coin as single ahead of another Captain + The Ship edition.

Good coin for the fans.
For the coin collectors without interest in the "Star Trek" - additional licensed sci-fi related coin.

I think for the first time The Coin Shoppe has in store / online:

2015 £2 Fine Silver Coin - Britannia Proof - United Kingdom - NGC PF70 Ultra Cameo - ONE of FIRST 1250 STRUCK

2015 £10 Fine Silver Coin - 5 oz Britannia Proof - United Kingdom - NGC PF70 Ultra Cameo - ONE of FIRST 500 STRUCK

2015 £2 Silver Coin - The Definitive Britannia Proof - United Kingdom

This what the collectors call coins.

I really want that Scrooge McDuck coin, love how he looks and how fitting to be a gold and silver coin.

However, I am also going to wait. Why?

As always, PM prices are knocking the stuffing out of all coins. The first gold and silver Mickey coins are coming down in price after being red hot when they were released a year ago. While they have not come back to their initial release price, they have come down nonetheless.

I believe I was following an ebay auction where the Scrooge silver coin was going for 78 USD, less than the mints price and less than other dealers.

I am done with buying coins at their initial price and then seeing them for less months later. If we were in an environment where PM prices were at least stable, I would have no problem buying at the initial release price.

Another example I noticed last night was the Dr Who silver tardis coin, that one did extremely well out the gate. Well 2 years later and now that coin is coming in as well. Falling PM prices are impacting everything and I gotta say, I actually like it!

RCM's Great Horned Owl is my favourite, by far! With a mintage of 1 million it looks like these are a better investment in this environment. Reported silver shortages by many dealers means higher premiums to come?

SGB has them available for pre-order: https://silvergoldbull.com/1-oz-201...-silver-coin
