I collect old and new coins but I do prefer the old. It is great to think about what this was used to buy, or maybe someone important carried it. I also love the history surrounding coins. They are tangible windows into the past.

I collect milled silver coins, made before the steam driven process, because of the unique variation of each coin and the testament to the minters art that could produce such nearly round and nearly perfect strikes.
