Quote: Doing an analysis on this situation, my $1.50 investment netted me (approx) $150 in return. Sounds like fair trade to me.

Quote: Sounds like fair trade to me. I sure it will go down as my best. I was able to ebay a few-several for a net gain of approx $125-$150 net gain. 2-3 years(?) Toned, peggers, errors etc. All I have up now is two raw low balls, and one 2001 Indian head dollar. No action. Still hoping for more IKEs from my CU

No luck lately on my CU or any where. Not sure this info is appropriate here; but similar to getting MED samples. My local 5 year lawn care giver had one machine *die* in my back yard. In his frustration, he told my wife he was doubling his rate. Ouch I talked to him and offered IKEs at the rate of $2 each in trade (or barter) He agreed to do one lawn cut and one shrub trim. Hope it lasted until September 15. If so, I stand to save about $300

Sunday I was given 10 Ikes by my friend as repayment for gasoline we used on a weekend fishing trip. Nothing remarkable in the coins, although I have not looked for varieties yet. Oh, and we caught 40 fish, so we were both happy :)

Nice! I would gladly accept that as payment. The bounty of fish is of course a bonus.

I picked up 26 Ikes from a bank tonight. Nothing remarkable, though there were 4 in AU condition I'll keep. I'll check for varieties later.

I pick up another 1976-P type 2 Ike today at my local bank. That makes 7 total - all 76-P type 2s XF to AU.

Lighting struck again Today I filled an appointment with one doctor in this building. I stopped by my "insulin" doctor. The receptionist perked up seeing my face. Asked me was I there to get "anything"? saying yes, I offered a large arrowhead contained in a Eisenhower brown paper roll. And told her it was sharp, and be careful to not cut her fingers. 5-6 minutes later she returned with 4 viles of samples. I dropped (quietly) an IKE over the desk. More grins

Anyone have a picture of a "pegger" so I know what I am looking for?
