Tonight I went back to the bank that should have had 8 more Ikes, but the head teller I dealt with yesterday was off, so no One could access her "stash".
On the bright side, 1 other bank had 6 Ikes, and another had a roll of 20, so I bought them all. 2 BU bicentennial were the remarkable finds.

4 banks tonight yielded 5 Ikes. Though they were only common circulated, they are better than nothing!

9 banks this week yielded only 2 common, circulated Ikes. Not a good return on my (time and gasoline) investment, but I'll keep asking!

Some might say that any Ike finds would be time and materials well spent.

I just got back from coin roll hunting a few banks...was not planning on going but I had left my number at my bank in case they got half dollars, etc in. I got a call saying a branch the town over had a couple hundred dollars worth. I went over there, but they had got rid of them to someone on Saturday. I ended up grabbing 100-$2.00 notes and making my way to the next bank (cause now I had to get something to go through). The next bank had a dollar in clad halves. I always try to small talk with the tellers figuring if I can make them smile it will help in the future. I did not realize the future was now. As I was small talking the window cashier said she had a few dollars worth in the back. She came out with 7 Ikes and my 1st 2 ever Silver Dollars. She comes out saying there are some old ones and starts looking through saying....1972, 1976, 1878, & 1894. I'm a newbie CRH and have only gone out looking a handful of times...I found 37 ozt of mostly 40% halves with 11-90% halves the 1st 2-times I went hunting. Now I have found my 1st 2-Morgan Silver Dollars. I went to 5-6 more banks and found 2 rolls of halves with nothing there 2 keep. I also received 95 more Ike's, but I have not gone through them yet. I will LYK once I go through them if there was anything good.

Here is the Breakdown on the 102 Ike's I got today: 8-1971, 3-1971 D, 26-1972, 5-1972 D, 1-1973 S (clad), 6-1974, 36-1976, 6-1976 D, 1-1976 S (clad), 1-1977 D, 8-1978, & 1-1978 D. I did not look to see which types I have, but I did notice 1 interesting coin. 1 of the 1976 D's has a dot over the D. I don't have a good magnifying glass or loop, but I cant make out any of the line from the D. I'm sorry but I don't have anything to take a good picture. I'm going to need equipment advice at some point on how to take close up pics and post them.
