Upon further review of these pictures, I'll say it's a genuine coin that's been cleaned or improperly handled.


Regardless, details coin and a slight Greaser.

I say genuine, VF, but polished. Worth only the gold content.

I'd still like to hear a good explanation as to how the S disappeared. Grease won't do it and neither would wear or polishing of the coin.

I can think of one way but it is very unlikely.
