In the past three weeks I have handed out $1003 in half dollars in this time. In this three weeks, I have seen almost no silver coins, proofs or coins newer than 2006 in the half dollars. I still hope this is not the new normal! Enjoy half dollars!

In the past week I have handed out $369 in half dollars in this time. I also found an odd 1976 Bicentennial coin. It appeared to have a plating of Sterling Silver on the front and back. It is a dirty coin that yet has an incredible shine. The D mint mark is nearly impossibly to make out as a D, even with magnification, it looks mostly like a raised blob in the shape of a "D". Odd. I hung onto it just because it is unusual. Also, 6 2002-2014 coins this week. Enjoy half dollars!

On the $2 bill challenge, things are hopping, but this one is dragging at the moment. In the past two weeks I have handed out $868 in half dollars in this time. I also turned in two coins that were so damaged that the bank manager said he was interested in getting them as "crazy" examples! Also only had 4 2002-2014 coins during this time. Enjoy half dollars!
