I have about 10 different Dansco albums I am working on now and about the same in Gaurdmaster. I stated in another post that I get the album first then I fill it. The good thing is that I saved a lot in shipping those albums by buying in bulk.
Another thing is that it allows you to be open to special deals in more than one collection, rather than getting stuck in one denomination.
I generally see something for a certain album that I need and then buy it. The more slots I have to fill the more likely I am to get a deal.
That being said, budget can be an issue so do what works for you, your interest, and your budget.
