I happened to be watching that 89CC MS60 NGC Morgan auction just for fun. That was way, way overpriced for an MS60. But maybe the bidders thought the coin was undergraded.

I was watching it too. I couldn't decide whether it was overgraded or undergraded. I thought it was quite unusual for the coin to be MS-60. It looks like almost the perfect definition of an AU/BU slider. If truly uncirculated, then how could a coin with surfaces like that be any lower than MS-63?

You can almost hear the argument between two graders, one insisting it was AU-58 and the other saying at least MS-63, and a decision being made to split the difference in favor of a market grade.
