Only the first one will hold value the new one especially if increased mintage will tank, don't forget you lose 13% tax right off the bat.

Closer look at the $20 for $20 coin, looks like Batman smiling while taking a hit from Superman

Saw the new Batman/Superman coins in the March catalog at my local post office.
Ugliest coins I've seen. Except for the $20 for $20, I won't be buying any of them . Up to now I have every single Superman coin but the streak ends here.
All the coins have a temporary design to them.
The gold coin looks weird. You see Superman fully in front but Batman seems to be hiding or obscured behind Superman.

Unless you live in a small town, there are plenty of post offices to go to. Here in Vancouver , there are dozens of post offices to go. The March Catalog is not to be available to the public until March 2. But there is a catch 22, in that the order date for the coins is February 18. So if you wait until March 2 the order date is past and you may not get the coins if they are hot. Most post offices want to to make money so people should have no trouble in ordering any coins ahead of time. They make 10 or 15% per coin. Making it a secret makes no sense because they are going to lose business if the coin is no longer in stock. Besides, having a pre-sale is better than the outlet buying the coin and letting it sit in the glass display case. I don't remember any Robin.

I thought the "Big secret" comment by the postal clerk was strange, too. We've got about ten post offices here, so will have to try another.

If I not mistake, on this catalogue written date, and till it, the images / details can't be exposed. Of cause, it comfortable to business to share the details and take pre-orders, but this exactly what calls "embargo". Why do you think, "The Coin Shoppe" owner (for example), can not share much the info that he exposed to at Berlin Coin Show....

Quote: Is it against forum policy to post pics of what I find? Not to my knowledge. Please, post pics! Called a few more PO. One said, "yeah, no problem. If you come in I'll show you the catalog." (She's new) Another clerk said she can't show it until Feb. 18, but if I come in she'll show it to me anyway. So, looks like Silveroid is correct about the embargo, but some postal clerks either don't care or they aren't aware of the embargo.

Why should outlets care about the embargo? They out to make money. Any coin they sell will be a bonus to them.
Ordering a coin for a customer is no different than ordering one for their store. Only difference is they got a guaranteed sale.

Saw the Superman/Batman coins tonight. I won't be buying any. For me the 2oz is a disappointment. Looks too commercial. The only one I like is the 1/2 oz for $49.95, but I'll wait for a price drop. The blowout sales on RCM products over the holidays ruined it for me. I won't pay issue price anymore for any of their coins unless I get that gut feeling, like I did with the Pysanka coin. I like the Geometry in Art series. The latest, the Cariboo, looks very nice, but I'll wait for the price drops. This Loon coin just sold for $58.01 plus $14 shipping: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/NO-RESERVE-F...191800228845
