Cleatis87, a Trail Die is a coin that exhibits parallel "extensions" of devices. They are strongest at the devices and traiiil away to nothing. They were created on the die when it was being faced. The die moved horizontally against the hub. The fact that they fade farther from the devices is due to the movement occurring at the time of release.
O-F, Sudz, and Tommyjet, I like them too. They can be all over or strongest at one side. I attribute that to a slight tilt as it was being hubbed.
Glad you like the pics Tommyjet, I just use a cheap little Coolpix camera and a 60 watt light bulb. It's all about the direction the light comes from.
