Thank you Carl for the clarification .I will admit the biggest problem with putting coins in pickle juice is it makes the pickles harder to eat .

Just to confirm, Xylene doesn't remove the black spots either. But it does seem to improve them a bit.

Might try using a Dremell Tool.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Are you saying the Xylene improves the black spots? Why would you want to improve the
spots? I thought it was the coins we were conserned with.

learjet: I don't know if your old enough to remember but at one time in our history, I'm old so I was there, we used to be able to buy Chocolate coins. I'm not sure but I think there was some of each denomination wrapped in Aluminum foil. Sure wish I save those.
