Just do your homework before bid or buy

If you can find a smaller auction house in your State or City, you may find some good bargains.

This past weekend was my first experience bidding and buying via Icollector. There are dozens of online auctions taking place nearly every day/week.

Got a little carried away and very relieved that I only won three of the 27 items I bid on.

In the weeks leading up to the auction I picked up a printed catalogue, viewed some of the items, checked market values and current sales before placing my maximum bids.

I have always preferred to purchase items at live in person auctions and this was a pleasant experience albeit still an expensive and very time consuming one.

The added advantage is that I can go into their shop this week and pay for my items directly saving shipping charges.

ebay is the last place I would buy any coins from. A good relationship with a reputable dealer is the better way to go.
