Coin Forums Before 2005?

I was a member of the usenet group rec.collecting.coins or RCC.
I am ashamed of my newbie-ishness so won't post my username or email address.
This was in the late 90s and early 00s.
I recognize several CCF members from there, most noticeably BiggFredd (RIP).
The last I knew the news groups were archived and searchable online. First through altavista and then through google groups. Not only are they searchable, they are technically still active. But they have so much spam nobody uses them anymore.
