Yes...in case you spend money on some more expensive items, no need to add more, better to do it other "quiet" month..

Since I am not MC, got RCM mail about new release .... and had some disappointment.

Why?

I clearly understand, that RCM, except being supplier of circulation coins to Canada and other half world, is also "pumping machine" to make a money on Bullion and NCLT. RCM will mint the items, that according to their anal-ysts will bring more money.
But where is something like Proud?
So the Mint does not bad and affordable coins with China-inspired designs.
What about something similar (not 5oz and not 1kg or 5kg) of first nations art? 1-2 coins per year, no need more.
Even NZ Post (not Mint) outsourcing almost annually limited edition nice "Maori series".

But no, RCM will continue with unlimited Maple Leafs and cliche designs. This really becomes junk, when too much.

Visited yesterday local PO and saw in personal the following items / coins:

2017 Proof Silver set
2017 Specimen set
2017 2oz GITD coin
2017 1/2oz Maple Leaf "Penny design"
2017 Piedfort selectively gold-layered (Beaver / Maple Leaf)

All, but Piedfort, look and will find the "good collector's hands"
But have to mention:

**Piedfort coin - didn't like. Imo, it worse than previous ones. 2010 SML and Coat of the Arms were great. 2013 SML was "too busy", and the recent one, just "meh" , IMO.

**The picture on 2oz coin very balanced, realy "mini picture" on the coin. I wouldn't care about it GITD feature. But since it just all-paint - total downside for me (I keep "Two Loons", but Loons more special coin)

**Was impressed by 1/2oz Maple Leaf. Very good in hand. No way it looks cheap, even with it's specimen finish. And it even fits more the "Farewell to Penny" items, rather then 1/2oz Maple Leaf series.
I literally would grab 3-4, if there is any sense to keep more than 1.

Top World Coins:

started to sell Canada 2017 20$ Wedding Day 1 oz Proof Silver Coin for USD 109.95

http://www.topworldcoins.com/us-ca/...dc72&mc_eid=[UNIQID]

The coin is still could be found for issue (probably everywhere in Canada), but:
very possible, that for the long run it will be similar to 2011 "Welcome to the World" - found with heavy premium.

the coin itself (IMO) is very elegant and beautiful. Except this, it not only dated 2017, but has on the obverse "Married in 2017". [For many, it very sentimental touch....the year of the Canada 150 Anniversary, same relevant for "Baby coin"
Probably a keeper...

Agreed Silveroid the wedding coin is very well designed.

The comparison to the baby coins however might be a stretch. Once born, most people tend to stay that way for quite awhile. Once married, the clock is ticking loudly for many couples....maybe wait a few years and pick this up for a song....after the divorce.

IMO, it's probably not a keeper. Long term, it's a very small market of potential buyers though there might be some short term demand in 2017.

Thinking better, would agree with CC-Ottawa.

Maybe popular for short term.
For the long - not sure, that people will look for this coin to give to the couple, married years back. It not the same as a birth..

I examined the 2017 $25 Timeless Icons The Beaver Piedfort Silver coin at CP. It is a nicely done coin and looks good! I like it... BUT, absolutely cannot justify that price.

FWIW, CP has a ton of superhero/cartoon/coloured coins available. Not sure how they will sell all that product.

Cheers!
