Thanks guys! Last time we did heaviest and we've already done smallest, so how about... Post the lightest coin in your collection! Any time period, any country, any metal. Must be unambiguously a coin, not a scrap of metal. Coins with significant portions missing are ineligible. Weigh to the closest 100th or 1,000th of a gram if you can, otherwise you can look it up online. Challenge coin: India, Vijayanagar Kingdom Devaraya I 1406-1422 Silver Tara 5x6mm, 0.08gObv: "Deer" standing left, mouth open, scepter or dagger above Rev: Indistinct/blank Good luck!

My smallest coin also happens to be my lightest coin. Kingdom of Travencore 1 Chuckram ND (1811-1901). Numista lists 0.38g. I'll try to get an actual weight for mine. Edit: mine is 0.39g

Probably not my actual lightest - I suspect that title might go to one of my Peter I silver kopeks - but I didn't really weigh any of my kopeks, and this coin's weight is below the nominal weight of the kopeks... Norman Sicily, 12th century, billon kharruba - or, more likely, an imitation or contemporary counterfeit of one. This thread has more discussion. 9 mm, 0.24 grams (confirmed on a 0.01 gram scale). Not actually purple - that's an artifact of that particular photography setup. Might try to make non-purple pics of it later.

Late Roman bronze? 0.85 grams. I blew it up on the scanner to try and obtain more detail.

You've got me in a bit of a bind. I thought I had a neat idea, but it would be so much of a repeat of this contest that I should probably leave it for later.
I guess I'll try the random Numista coin dance again and see if anything interesting falls out...

The Numista random coin dance didn't work this time, alas. I think I did have some ideas, but forgot them while CCF was down yesterday.
I guess I'm conceding to @bd251, unless I manage to think of something before they do?
