Cook Islands to Samoa 20 Sene, 1967 @Hondo Boguss Your comments remind us of why we love this forum. While our appreciation for their beauty and often value, are a given, some of the thoughts our coins provoke are far beyond monetary value. That five cent token for a junior High School lunch in Hawaii, ( circa 1921 ) , you posted, creates so many images far beyond the physical beauty of our coins. Thank You

You are most welcome, wannabfree! This is one of my favorite threads on the CCF, as it involves coins, history, and travel to exotic lands. The Hawaii school lunch tokens have a very interesting history. This is the best reference I've found online: https://thehawaiiananumismatist.com...unch-tokens/
