Hondo - I was wondering where there was a land border between France and the Netherlands, and then remembered that I've actually been across it - on the Caribbean island of St Maarten!  Netherlands to Germany (1 Mark 1991-F):  |

NumisRob, it's a straight shot from Calais or Dunkirk through the North Sea to the Netherlands. And speaking of overseas territories, French Guiana is a Department of France (although I've never used that technicality here). NumisRob, you sent me down a rabbit hole looking at maps of that area from 1300 on! The answer, as far as I can tell is no, unless you count the Duchy of Burgundy which encompassed NE France, Belgium, and the Holland area in the later 14th into the 15th century.
