OK, so if I'm doing this correctly, Mauritania is on the west coast of Africa, which means I can cross over the Atlantic Ocean in a straight line all the way to Mexico, right? No problem, Barry. Mauritania to Mexico is doable - although a tight squeeze between Florida and the Bahamas. Just remember that it has to be a straight line on a globe, not a map. Most of us use Google Maps to check the paths.  Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Sorry, as much as it pains me to say this, but I have to veto that one. There is no way to successfully navigate there between the Florida Keys and the Bahamas in a straight line. We are still in Mauritania.  |

Hondo, assuming you mean Mauritania (not Mauritius) to Western Africa, you are going back to the same country you came from!
