jasonbell123- that is awesome. You have to love PF70 Libertads. In fact, all Libertads. But those PF70 are beautiful. I am always surprised at how small the market is for Libertad coins currently. It is North America, it does not have the plague of milk spots that all Canadian coins seem to have (they do get milk spots sometimes, but it is less often and less severe imho) and they are beautiful.

Crazy glue... Why were so few of the 1998 and 1999 bu versions minted? What was going on during this time?

I think the Libertad is the prettiest coin I've ever seen. The AE would be a very close second. The proof Libertads, whether in silver or gold, is an awesome sight.
If the market ever expands, and I think it will because of the Mexican immigration movement, the prices on these coins will be absurd. I've got a 2001 and 2002 one ounce silver proof coins and they produced an extremely limited mintage in those years.

Connor- I'm not really sure why so few in 1998 and 1999. Some years they produce far fewer coins than every year. Their mintage maximum is set by the government every year, so some years the government has chosen smaller mintages, but there are also some years they do not seem to even produce the maximum allowed.

crazyglue.... oddly enough the environment does have an effect on the milkspots on some coins. Canada is typically colder and wetter and even new bullion is subjected to this over time. Mexico is largely hot and dry, which is very conducive to coins without spotting.
I have some older Brittanias that also have the spotting as well, coming from an isle with more moisture.
Moisture at room or higher temperature seem to affect coins more over time. Coins found at the bottom of bodies of water are actually preserved due to the lack of oxygen and much colder temperature.

Very nice collection crazy glue. Also discovered Libertads about two years ago and it quickly became one of my favorite collection pieces. Recently picked up the 2 and 5 oz reverse proof from 2017. Such a gorgeous coin.
You're right. If interest picks up and mintages stay about the same prices will definitely increase. A lot of these sets already carry high premiums.

Crazyglue..did you buy that 2 Oz detatched wing from me off ebay in 2016? I was the founder of the 2 Oz variety. Beautiful collection you have..well done. I just got the 2018 3 piece RP set...5 Oz, 2 Oz, & 1 Oz coins..bonus surprise was the STUNNING wooden display holder..pics from an ebay listing..anyone know what the official BDM envelope is in their listing? I didn't get one, from Stovall, but no big deal. I believe only 500 sets made, and, ONLY available down at their offices...NOT shipped to authorized dealers, like most issues, adding to the rarity. Set mintage numbers and actual coin mintage numbers will vary, so, need some time for TRUE final numbers on both.

Hi, No, I checked my records, I don't think I bought it from you. Wish I had though. That is awesome that you found that. I'm thrilled to have a detached wing. Is your the 70? Nice reverse proof 3 coins set. I have one of those also. From your description, it sounds like I need to hang on to it. I grabbed two of the Antique 3 coins sets as well. Both Antique and Reverse Proof sets are about identical from a display standpoint, although one is much lighter wood than the other. I don't display coins, so not sure how I feel about the whole intricate wood display with no real outer box (the one you see if pretty much paper) and no COA. Libertads are too expensive and addictive haha. Seriously, I need to stop.

Hi Yup, Thanks- I appreciate it. I have started to collect NGC PF70 1/20, 1/10 and 1/4, very immature collection. That is as far as I have gotten.

Picked up this 92 set. Sorry it's so small, it is 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/10, and 1/20. Is there any market for it?

Arkie. I'm looking at getting a 2019 version of that 5 point set in the plastic holder. I can't find any information or prices for it online. May I ask how much you paid for your 2018 set or what you think the value of a 2019 set would be?
