I opened 3 rolls of pennies yesterday. Here's an odd one. And 2 with a "burst" in that area. After being in plastics, zinc plating, and laser print it's interesting to "that doesn't look right on currency.

It appears to be a Die Chip. It's a common area to have it happen. It's the weak spot on the die.
