Nice recent additions, everyone!
I do like the silver proof sets, GLB49. I bought the 1999 proof sets (both regular and silver) from the U.S. Mint, and that was my first coin purchase after a break of about 12 years I took from coin collecting. I still get the silver sets every year from the mint.
I got the regular sets from 1999 through 2021 and decided to stop. One of these days I'll be selling all the regular sets, though I know I'll get a whole lot less than what I paid for them!

You will have your chance at it, Jbuck. I picked that one as the prize for my 1000th post contest. Although I imagine you've got quite a stack of pristine 40% silver Eisenhowers from the early 70's in mint state.

GLB49, that is correct. I remember seeing Numismatic News sales listings from 2006 or so selling this set for $600-$800. The '99 clad proof set was going for nearly $200. |
