Here's the commemorative silver dollar from Canada's 2018 Special Edition Silver Dollar Proof Set. It features facing portraits of Captain James Cook and an unnamed chief of the First Nations Mowachaht people. The chief is depicted wearing a Mowachaht hat that was worn by those who were expert in whale hunting.

Here's Canada's silver $4 coin that commemorated the First Nations (Shawnee) leader Tecumseh and his role during the War of 1812 fighting on the side of Canada and England. A circulation 25-cent coin was also struck. Tecumseh is most remembered for his valiant, and temporarily successful, efforts to unite the various First Nations tribes into a single confederacy in order to better preserve their culture and combat the continued westward expansion of white settlers. His vision broke apart after he was killed at the 1813 Battle of Thames (near Ontario) during the War of 1812, as no one else could step up and assume his leadership role. On the coin, Tecumseh is depicted wearing a scarf/bandanna; it was designed by Bonnie Ross.
