In 1602 Henry IV was king of both France and Navarre and he was also Lord of Bearn, a province in Navarre. On this local issue for Bearn, the reverse shows the combined arms of France, Navarre, and Bearn: Three fleur-de-lys for France, Union Jack-shaped chains for Navarre, and two cows for Bearn. Before becoming King Henry IV of France and Navarre, he was Lord Henry II of Bearn as well as King Henry III of Navarre. His impressive coat of arms showed all important family relations. There is a lot of commonality with the coat of arms of Henry II of Bearn: Castile, Leon, Aragon, Navarre, Bourbon are all there - the only addition is Granada at the bottom.
