I received my notice and ordered the pysanka and at the bottom of the order sheet, there is a video about this Vegreville pysanka which is very interesting. (mintage 5,000) "Wonder if there will be news coverage on this?" What do others think about the viola davis coin with the $10.00 banknote? (mintage 8,000) What do others think about the 2 x 2 ounce voyageur and moose coins mintage 1,750? What do others think about the RCM Norse God Series mintage 3,500? Thanks MoneyPenney for posting.

Quote: What do others think about the viola davis coin with the $10.00 banknote? (mintage 8,000) Missed opportunity... the coin should have had a face value of $10 to match the bill vs. the $20 (1oz) Quote: What do others think about the 2 x 2 ounce voyageur and moose coins mintage 1,750? Another in the series of "What might have been". I kinda like the Caribou quarter with the stars in background. Not sure if I like the Voyageur with lake ripples in the field where the date lives. It is clear that these coins are for the proof NCLT market as they would not have been economical to make as circulating coins back in the '30s when they were originally introduced. I think the focus the RCM has had lately where they reissue concepts or what might have been is interesting but they are starting to over saturate the market... as usual... I am not sure these coins were badly needed or that there was a massive pent up demand. The melt value ratio is at 4x so it is actually a better value than we have seen recently but that may only be because of the recent rise in Silver... Still... these are a wait for a few years until the secondary market rationalizes their price. I am actually interested in the dinosaur coin set. It has been a while since the RCM has issued a set of quarters in base metal that are 24mm and an engraved design that was not intended to circulate. Most of the NCLT quarters in base metal recently have been 35mm or flat field with a decal or intended for circulation.

And although I think that the product itself is interesting, but the issue price is too high. Looks like 2oz Silver each coin in the set.

I noticed the new Pysanka egg price is $129.95 when prior issues were $114.95, there is no gold plating on this coin so where does the extra $15 come from?

The 2018 Pysanka issue price was $129.95. 2017 Pysanka issue price was $114.95.

So the basic collector's question for the Feb release: "how many Pysanka coins should be loaded for issue price, given the fact, that 2018 coins usually sells for less than issue?"

The previous PYsanka releases did not appeal to me, but this particular one looks very nice. I can't articulate why, it just is. Maybe I should get one.

What format is the packaging for the 1/2oz silver ML coin?

Quote: What format is the packaging for the 1/2oz silver ML coin? My first impression was, that again "on card", similar to 2018 coin. But the image on the web shows standard maroon case with the colorful cardboard box.

Email from RCM Rep, "LAST CHANCE: SELL OUT ALERT!! We are over 90% sold out of the 2019 Vegreville Pysanka coin." But the real question is, how many went out to dealers?

I'm curious how the $10 bill comes shipped. If it's in a special case. Or just loose

Quote: I'm curious how the $10 bill comes shipped. If it's in a special case. Or just loose In an email from my RCM rep, it shows a box with coin and bill. While the orientation is different as the note is vertically printed, it appears similar to the 1996 $2 coin and bill issue commemorating the new Twoonie. The note also said it ships in July. I can't post the picture as the RCM issued pics are copyright but it should be on the RCM site soon.
