I realised that I am a little late in this matter. Just voted in all 6 threads.
Also mailed MOM for some further explanations, hopefully I can participate too :)

RenaL could you explain the coin, and its date, you use as your Avatar one more time as I am really impressed and want to see if I can locate one (if possible). I know you described it in another thread but I don't have a clue where! Thanks!
And, for what it is worth I don't have a problem with anyone being involved with this Perpetual Giveaway as long as we know how to deliver the package safely to any country in the world. In many countries I currently ship to I MUST send by REGISTERED Mail to be guaranteed delivery. Any other method will probably fail as registered mail MUST be signed for by every set of hands that carries that package and MUST be locked in a safe overnight. It will be up to each and every recipient, who is next to receive the set, to let the sender know the best way to mail the package. We really want to see how long we can keep this going and how many miles we can rack up on this set of coins. It will be fun and each and everyone of us must make every effort to do it promptly, as required by the rules, and as safely as possible. If we have to spend a few extra bucks to send REGISTERED mail then we will do so as none of us will see the set more than one time in a 12 month period (once per year) so a few more dollars won't hurt anyone! Looking forward to getting this started and thanks to all of you who took the time to vote. Hey, you reckon Guinness World Records keeps tabs on the longest trip a package ever made?

I think this perpetual giveaway is a excellent idea. However, I'm not going to participate. I have a problem with being responsible for something that I don't own(must be an undiagnosed disorder or something I should seek medical attention for). Maybe I can get my neighbor to participate and just go over everyday to look at the coins . I did'nt vote because I was'nt participating and had no business voting. Do you guys want everybody to vote anyway?

The more that votes the better In reality the way it works is each month members will submit their names if they are interested in having the set for a month.
The name is drawn and then that member is responsible for shipping it to the next member.
Perhaps BIGFELLA can post the rules once we get the coins selected.

tnwalker10, Why would you NOT want to vote and participate? The whole idea is being in a chain of people, all over the world, who have trust and faith in one another to complete a simple assignment and pass the collection on within a matter of weeks. In doing so we will be sharing our knowledge of world coins and building a CHAIN that can not and will not be broken. And, how many times have you, I or any of us been involved with a world wide effort such as this and to think we did it on our OWN! No big organization, no politics, no religion, NO boundaries of any kind! Just the efforts of a few people wanting to share a love of coin collecting and new friendships across untold miles and miles! I am sure as time plays out this will become one great story and to be involved in this undertaking, in my humble opinion, is an honor! The world is still full of good honest people and this Perpetual Giveaway Set will demonstrate just that! Hopefully someday, one of us will make the next delivery by hand! Wouldn't that be something!

LOL, not a single one I voted for is winning!
Oh well, send my way in any case. I'll take good care of them!

I personally am with tnwalker on this one. Since I don't plan to participate, I don't really think I should be voting either. After the coin giveaway starts, maybe I will join then, if it's still ok to do so. But, it sounds like some of the coins might be worth quite a bit of money. I'm sure this will require registered insured postage which will be pretty expensive for me right now. Also, I think I'd be a bit concerned about leaving the coins at home while I'm gone. Great idea though, for those who want to do it!

I have been checking the polls on and off the last few days, and have not seen any ties. As they stand at the time of this post, there are no ties! I say go with it as it stands to prevent yet another deadlock What do you all think?. Mike

Wow! After a pep talk like that from Terry how can I still say no? Count me in and I think Mike's idea to stop the voting now while it's tied is a good idea.
