exoguy, I was in Carson City at Northern Nevada a few years ago and saw a VF 1868-S eagle selling for a little over melt. Someone had whacked an L counterstamp into the obverse field.

I passed but if I had been in to counterstamps probably not. PCGS survival is 87. When will I ever see another of these selling for melt. A coin like that really upgrades one's cull pile.
