Ratio

Those contats are more than likely zinc coated aluminum ,,they do not use silver contacts in such applications .

you can however find silver ,gold and platinum contacts in the older computers .

it is very hard to reclaim and takes thousands of boards to equal any type of meaningful weight.

Metalman,
Granted I don't know what I have, but they are definitely
too heavy for aluminum and if they are coated, it isn't zinc.
They could be silver plated, as opposed to solid silver. I
don't doubt you have some knowledge on the subject, but I
know silver when I see it. These things have the surface look
of a toned Morgan (or any other 90%). That is why they caught
my eye. I guess now I just need to find out if they are solid
or plated. From the sound of it, they are most likely plated.

Maybe I melt one down with a torch... Or just hacksaw one in
half and look at the inside metal...

I post when I do.

No one makes pure Silver contacts.

They may not make pure anymore, but back in the 70s, we bought jars full from floor sweepings at Essex. When silver was $2-3 an ounce, pencil point size contacts weren't worth the cost of plating. They tested out over 95%.

That is encouraging then.
These lugs (or whatever they are) are old stock
from the 80s at the very latest. Maybe
even from the 60s-70s considering the wide range
of age of materials obtained in this lot of 'stuff'.
