OK it's tommorow my time already and since nobody seems interested, the winners are:

Ancient scenario - Sap
Mediaeval scenario - Sap
Modern scenario - COINAHOLIC

The amount of these participants' effort solely justifies this choice. I also have to point out that I like nod2003's and 1337's ideas.

The only thing missing is how the coins mentioned in Sap's mediaeval scenario evolved into the Conches

Where's the rush? Some of us were still working on ideas--sorry for delaying. In any case--I'll stop my work and big congrats to the winners.

Well short answer is I posted first!

Long answer: Due to modern times and bookkeeping the need for a standardized unit of currency was deemed necessary. The answer decided upon was a system based on what other countries have done and based it on decimal fractions and multiples of 100.00 As far as the Nautilus, Conchs, and Limpets go, the place has water on three sides so it seemed appropriate. Now if we could just get the coinstar machine to stop jamming when counting Limpets, we'd have achieved Utopia!

I wouldn't go too far jbuck unless something has changed, that was only phase 1, so bring that A game! Wanna put a couple of conchs on it.

Oh yeah gambling is as gambling... well you know

Let me rephrase:
"But be warned, for next time I will bring my "A game" to this contest!"

I guess I needed to be explicit that the contest is this contest!

BTW, I do not gamble, so unless it is a gentleman's wager...

Since the phase I was a flop, the Games will continue in an other way.
It will be a mix of Pay it Forward, Guess the Price, and Identification Request.
And yes, the PiF part is that the one who wins will organize the next round.
