Congrats kieth12. We knew we had a winner, just not who it would be. joe, that coin looked like it had a date of 1977, had to look it up again. One odd coin for sure. Thanks for the round. Some one fill me in on the " Red Book". Is it just US coins? I believe so, but don't posses one. James will like it. Edit, I dropped my question waiting for an answer for joe.

Glad I waited, an answer for my question would have only gained us 5 years.
Was the coin struck before Washington DC was the capital?

Quote: God eye on that date You got me on the loin/lion the other day, got you here on god/good. You know we look old to these other players. . Found this, if it stands, we have the date cornered. Quote:What were the first US coins? One cent coins and Half Cents were the first coins struck for circulation by the United States mint in 1793 I found lots of stuff before 1793 though. I'll burn one more question today, then sit back and watch. Was the coin minted by the US Mint for circulation?
