Quote: Was this coin issued in German East Africa, Germany , or India? It would not be from India as they got their independence from britain in 1947.

So far we know that out of about 200 countries roughly 86 of them are disqualified do to them either being a British colony or being on the allies side during WW2. We know that it has a date (It is not known whether it is in the Arabic numerical system or not.), It also has a "appreciable" Copper content (So, more then likely it is entirely or partially made of copper) along with it being under 1/10th of a unit of currency (So, we may assume it being a penny or something similar) and it weighs either more or less then 1.5g - 2.5g (Until we get more information I'd assume it being more then 2.5g). We also know that it was issued between 1909-1917 that gives us about 8 years to work with. Lastly we know it is listed on Numista.

If I were to guess I'd say it is a 1 Heller - Wilhelm II from German East Africa. is this the correct way to guess.

Be careful of the weight question. It was asked if the weigh was between 1.5 to 2.5g, but someone forgot to add "inclusive", so technically it does not include 1.5 & 2.5, just the weights in between.
