Does Numista list this coin as precious? Here's the story. "arguably" because the banks had these for face value for the 1st set of 4 only. My Charlton says they were circulated for "a monetizing issue through the banking system at face value, where no packaging was involved". So some went into circulation. The sets were also available, Proof and BU. After set 1, the remainder of issues are NCLT. I went diggin' and found arguments for both fore and against. So I asked mcshilling if he could remember what happened for real. He did. He confirmed that the banks had them, and even knew that the rolls came in styrofoam. Thanks for the good chat that night and your help. We both agree and don't know if businesses accepted them. Could you buy gas with one....I doubt it, maybe though. Since you asked mrit, I'll oblige. This became my pocket piece Jan of 2018. I had 3, so it was a gimme there, and I went big instead of going home. It sounds amazing while I'm walking. Besides that, it's worth 60 bucks in silver. Who else carry's 60 bucks in change on them. Emergency money if needed. Check out the pocket piece thread for more info, I'm headed there now. Here's how it looked at the start.

Thanks for the back story Loonie. Certainly fooled me, as I didn't think anything over $1 was in circulation back then.
Is this a circulation commemorative coin?

You know I love a good story trig. The definition of circulation may be being stretched with this one, but I guess it fits the bill.
