I thought sure a coin over 600 would have some kind of car on it. I'm lost.

Maybe it has a horse and carriage.

Europe has 14 landlocked countries: Andorra, Austria, Belarus, Czech Republic, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Moldova, San Marino, Serbia, Slovakia, Switzerland, and Vatican City.

Some of these might not of existed though over 600 years ago.

Andorra is out-no old coins.
Austria-Habsburg and Austrian States are in.
Belarus is out-no old coins.
Czech Republic is out, but Kingdom of Bohemia is in, if landlocked.
Hungary is in.
Liechtenstein is out, age.
Luxembourg is in.
Macedonia is not listed in Numista, but if you search by that name lots come up, so it's in.
Moldova is out, but, Moldavia and Wallachia are in, but just barely with dates.
San Marino is out, age.
Serbia is in.
Slovakia in.
Switzerland is in.
Vatican City is out, age.

I don't know if this helps or not.

I'm leaning toward Hungary. Problem with that is, lots and lots of coins. We could maybe ask if it was issued under a city or state in the Kingdom of Hungary, or issued by the Kingdom itself.

Or we could ask if it is over 700 years old.

Thanks Loonie, I started checking that last night, but ran out of time.

So the possibilities are...

Austria-Habsburg and Austrian States are in.
Kingdom of Bohemia is in, if landlocked.
Hungary is in.
Luxembourg is in.
Macedonia is not listed in Numista, but if you search by that name lots come up, so it's in.
Moldavia and Wallachia are in, but just barely with dates.
Serbia is in.
Slovakia in.
Switzerland is in.

Macedonia may not have come up in Numista as it's now called North Macedonia (even though there is no South).

I was leaning towards Hungary too.

Let's go for it.
Was the coin issued in a city or state in the Kingdom of Hungary?
