I've got it as an American circulation coin under 25 cents, dated between 1951 and 1985. You have to ask, why is it not on Nuimista....is it odd or something. Snobro.

Well we don't seem to be getting to far, so let's just ask some questions.
Is the coin a denomination of 5c (nickel) ?

Now we are getting somewhere. Time for our Yankee players to step up to the plate. Let's cut down the date range a bit. Was this coin around before 1967? Good year, eh keith. .

Quote: How do we interpret question 8? A circulation coin. Not NCLT.

So we are looking to a U.S. nickel from 1950 to 1966 and is a circulation coin not from a branch mine, so does that make it from Philly mint. All options seem to be listed on Numista, so I'm not quite sure where to go from here. :(

Agreed, Philly nickel with said dates. All on Numista. Surprise...surprise. So, it's not a "standard" nickel. He said to think outside the box.
I think it's an error coin. What type...no idea. Wrong planchet perhaps...just thinking out load.

The only thing I can see in the Red Book, S over D or D over S, so nothing to do with Philly mint. I thought it might be the 2 proof coins in 1966 that were given to Felix Schlag, but then they wouldn't be circulation coins. So like you said Keith, maybe an error.
