So this is the list of countries.
Azerbaijan Israel Jordan Lebanon Syria U.A.E.
and if the coin was around for the second presidency of Ortega, but not the first, then the date range is 1985 - 1990.

I think we need some clarification about Ortega. I have the 2nd Presidency starting in 2007. I believe sprue had the 1st time he became Pres. in mind as that would have cut the date range more than dropping the upper end by only 14. That would be 1979-present from 1950-present. I hope you're correct Steve, 5 years is a lot better. . Edit=I was typing and missed the last few posts, I'm still confused.

I can clarify my intention with the question. I was referring to Ortega's first presidency, which began in 1985. While he was the de facto leader before that, he was not president. I decided not to quibble because Ed's answer still helped, though now I see the problems you all pointed out. It's implied that it was not around for the first presidency which means that it could not have been minted any earlier than 1990, but that's no guarantee. We need some clarification, Ed.

Very well, I will be nice today and say that the coin was NOT present during the 1st Presidency, but definitely was during the 2nd.

Quote: Very well, I will be nice today So we have Steve's country list and a date range of 1990-2007. Does the common English name of the issuing country have six letters or less?
