This is what I have from my end. There was a Y#50.1 and a Y#50.2. There is no Y#50a that I see. The difference between the .1 and .2 is the weight, determined by the thickness. Both are pure nickel, that is magnetic. You can tell the difference by the coin having denticles or grooves. I did weigh it, bang on 1.75 grams. And checked it with a magnet too. It's such a little coin I was surprised to see it was the heavier 1.

We'd of still got it. Such an odd denomination must make making change a hassle. "That will be 36 centimos sir." "Here is 37 1/2." "1 1/2 is your change, thank you for shopping at Looniemart." .
